The bet is if the lighter will light the cigar 10 times straight the sailor will get the Cadillac but if it doesn't light 10 times the Jamaican man gets to cut off the sailors left pinky finger. The climax is when the boy has lit the cigar 8 times and a women steps into the room and grabs the Jamaican man and apologizes for letting him do this. The falling action is her telling them that the Jamaican man is crazy, She said "He is a menace," the woman said. That's why I brought him up here."
